Colleen, psychiatric medication literally saved my life. I had treatment resistant depression which basically means any antidepressant I took wouldn’t work. I was in and out of the hospital 5 times in the psych unit. I also did ECT(electro compulsive therapy) twice. Until one day I was put on an antipsychotic medication that no one thought would help and what do you know, it worked! It literally saved my life and I’m so grateful for my treatment team not giving up on me as well as my family and friends. But medication can be a good thing and you don’t have to be on it forever. I wish you the best of luck finding the right medication for you. Do what you have to do to be the best version of you for yourself and your kids. Love from Hawaii 💕

I took psychedelic mushrooms during COVID and eye credited it to healing the damage PTSD has done. It's really weird to think that for most of my life my PTSD dictated every single thing I do and now I barely even remember that I have it! About once a year my brain starts feeling squirrely and I take some mushrooms again and then I feel great again for another year! I hate that not everybody can access this

When flynn was little I thought he was gonna grow up to be some sort of construction worker because he knew all the names of the Construction trucks. Now I think he might grow up to be a marine biologist because of his love for fish and underwater sea life or at least be a diver of some sort and work with see life and study it. He is so amazing smart.

Fun fact. When I was a kid my grandmother showed me these flash cards that were my DADS from the 50s of all types of fish. There were 100. And I memorized them. I learned them all. On the back there were facts. Anyway. Flynn’s knowledge of fish reminds me of ME hahah. It’s so funny. I love it.

You need to try psilocybin mushrooms, my sweet girl. I had severe ptsd, anxiety, pain etc and they helped me so tremendously. I still micro dose and have been off my SSRIs for 2 yrs. I feel so much better. I was able to purge a lot of anxieties and stress. Only do these with a seasoned trip sitter if you ever decide to try the actual psychadelic mushroom vs the adaptogem kind. Now, not everyone responds them the same but after watching you for 10 yrs I have to say the thought has crossed my mind dozens of time that you should try them. The journey is pretty incredible ❤

TT Question: Hey Colleen. I also have dermatilomania. Have you seen these things called picky pads? They’re all over TikTok and they are an excellent alternative to those of us who have dermatilomania, as well as ADHD, anxiety and any sort of stress. It’s worked wonders for me and I thought maybe this was something that you’d be interested in. Being that you’re so crafty, you could probably make your own and see if you like it. Love your videos and love you and your family even more!

I love the gifting each other gifts that the kids will like. When my brother and I were little my dad would bring us to go pick out stuff for my moms bday, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, etc but it would be toy/stuff we liked and my mom absolutely loved it. The same the other way around with my dads gifts. The gift I remember the most is a Dora jewelry box for my mom on her bday 😂

Be aware, Olipop has a lot of fiber in it, 1/3 of the daily recommended amount in one can. It can cause stomach upset and gas if you're not used to that much fiber.

TTQ: As a teacher I love highlighting that all kids have their unique intelligence and I can tell which ones will study what topic if they choose to go to college (if they do). Flynn is so smart at remembering things and is obviously really intelligent but do you think he will be science, math, English or social science smart? A mixture? Same with the twins. Do any of them give off the analytical thinking seen in engineers or creative writing brains?

TTQ: hey Colleen! I’m 10 weeks pregnant and my nausea and anxiety is at its PEAK! Any advice? I’m on some meds for it but it’s really tough to find things to look forward to and it’s hard to get through each day. I’ve also tried the pregnancy bands and those helped in the beginning but now it’s past that LOL Thank you for posting every week! Your videos help distract me a TON when not a lot can!

2:07 “I don’t know where that kid gets his brain from” is something my mom would say to me, and I kinda hate it thinking back now. She and you are so smart in different ways, I bet at Flynn’s age you had memorized like so many musical related things or other random facts that interested you at the time. I think parents don’t give themselves credit a lot of the time, but you specifically have a really awesome brain that can do a million things my brain can’t even imagine. Just my 2 cents that nobody asked for 😂💖

TTQ: Has Flynn ever been fishing before? If he ever tries it out, I’d love to see it!! Also, my kids did a field trip where a marine biologist guy let the kids go “seining”. They caught some sea creatures and the guy told everyone about what they caught! It was so cool. I’m sure Flynn would love doing something like that too!!!

Colleen, if you like grape flavour, try a British drink called Vimto, it contains grape, raspberry, blackcurrants, you can get it in soda form or what we call squash which is basically a concentrate or cordial which you mix with water. Usually one part squash to 4 parts water. You can get lots of different squashes too at your British or international section in places like jungle Jim’s apparently.

I am just as obsessed with fish and coral. I've been keeping saltwater aquariums for 27 years. Sea life is fascinating to me. I totally recommend doing an aquarium. Saltwater is challenging but freshwater can be super easy and fun. Id be glad to give advice. :D

TTQ - well, more of a comment. You should take Flynn to the TANKED office in Vegas. They used to have a show on TLC and they make INSANE fish tanks! You can tour their showroom and see all the fish. Or maybe go to a fish distributor near you so he can see exotic fish!

yesss i love taking lions mane mushroom capsules for my adhd i can’t take my regular medicine because im breastfeeding and i would say that the lions mane doesn’t make me feel as focused as the actual medicine i used to take but it does take away a lot of my feelings where i feel like people hate me and stuff and i have loads of motivation i get mine from etsy alsooo i absolutely love your videos i’ve been watching for YEARSSSS like when you used to film with rebecca zamolo i don’t think i spelt that right lol but watching your videos made me realize that i might have adhd because how i’ve been feeling for a long time is also how you have been feeling and the types of symptoms you get

I was watching your podcasts with Rachel and I get the scalp pain when my hair is dirty too, and say my hair hurts. I also say that it forces me to shower because depression makes me not want to do anything! Oh and yes talk about menopause is really needed! I'm in peri-menopause and it sucks! Not a fan 0 stars!

Omg I remember Faygo pop grape orange red as a kid in MI I loved them! Ollipop I must agree is not great I know so many love it but it’s just not for me! Love the Marshalls hauls!!
