Actually, they currently have a NET ranking of 25. They will not play SDSU or Utah State during the MW tournament because they are on the other half of the bracket and would meet only one of them if they meet in the championship. Almost all bracketologists have them being in the Last 4 IN.

Are we talking about the same team? I am talking about UNLV. I feel like you may be referring to New Mexico. New Mexico has a much better chance of getting in.

@@GTNM1961 All good! A New Mexico win over Boise St might be enough to sneak them in the field depending on what other bubble teams do. Making a run to the title game would absolutely punch their ticket in my opinion. Their NET is great. I believe 33 is the best NET ranking to ever not get in, NC St a few years ago.

Odds are strongly against it happening. If they beat SDSU and Utah St in the Mountain West Tournament, that would give them 7 quad 1 wins and improve their NET ranking. Their resume will be in the mix at that point but probably still gets left out.
