I live like one hour away from GA Tech. Do you think (if I do get accepted) that it's reasonable to commute back and forth to GA Tech? Campus life really isn't a choice for me.

Hello, I'm an incoming freshman to GT and have been watching as many videos as I can about people's experiences. Did you take any credit from high school (AP, IB, etc.)? And if it was to waive a first year class (Chem 1 for example and then taking Chem 2), did you feel prepared? Thanks, love your videos!

Congrats on getting in! I did take AP classes, and there's a list of what AP/IB scores waive intro classes on Georgia Tech's website. For me, most of my credits weren't prereqs for any of my classes because were social science credits, but for AP Calc (prereq for calc 2), I did feel prepared taking calc 2!

On East campus, Glenn & Towers are the best, and on West campus, Fitten, Freeman, or Montag are great!

pretty much they are all the same if you like the bustle of greek life and football dorms on the East are your best bet, specifically Glenn and Towers which are the newest dorms on campus; if you prefer a more quite location and want easy access to the gym and a green space to study outside West campus is better.

It's great that your thinking about college early! Don't stress too much about college now, but I would say challenge yourself with your classes, but don't have too rigorous of a course load! Also, I'd recommend finding a club your hobby you are interested and showcasing your interest by having a leadership position or just being very active in the club!

take APs and/or subject tests to get college credit which will make each semester less intense/more manageable on a 4 year track. Don't slack in our classes because grades your junior year and 1st semester of senior matter most.

Yes definitely! Tech is in the city, but because the campus is so enclosed, it doesn't really feel like I'm in the middle of a city sometimes. GTPD also does a really great job of ensuring that were safe on campus.
