You should be so proud of yourself! A waitlist is NOT a rejection! Ross is a terrific school and you were thrilled to get in! Congrats!!!!!

I just learned that (on average) there are usually only a few dozen to a couple hundered people on college/uni waitlists. and apparently at MIT only about ~2% of applicants are waitlisted lol but congrats on umich and all the others!!! I hope you have a good college experience!

My favorite was the second one, Indiana, because I could see the relief in your face that you didn’t have to go to Michigan State. Haha just kidding (well kind of). GO BLUE! 😂

Interesting college decision results. I wonder what was in your college application that was holding colleges back from accepting you. Was it the writing sample? A bad yearly grade performance? Something there.

I was wondering the same thing and I couldn't seem to figure out why either which was a bit frustrating. But at the end of the day, it's ok and this whole process is wack. I released a stats/ECs video so people would have a better idea of what my application looked like :)
@abemartin11662 жыл бұрын
@@sammyy.1760 @Sammy Y. The whole process is indeed random but with some predicitibility. The randomness increases with the more top talent. There was definitely something in your application that hurt you. If you were waitlisted at MIT, you should have been a solid acceptance for alot of of these other schools. You coming from a working class family where you are disadvantaged financially and family pedigree contributes to your overall acceptance success massively. Had you had a college application coach, a parent that was a doctor e.g. your outcomes may have been different. Someone from your background you have to work even harder because your competiting against professional students with money and family pedigrees that can help guide them.
