It's so crazy how you can get Yale and now one like Harvard. Like it's cool, but it just tells you how weird their acceptance processes must be also I do think Harvard takes on more legacies than anything, but Yale is great too worked with a lot of Yale grads over the years which is funny because I went to a public university and didn't even get my degree in the end, but life is funny that way.

i heard that getting into more then one ivy is rare, no matter how smart you are. trust the process, the one you get into is the right fit for you. all ivies will see your strenghts, but will also consider how you will fit into their community and how your identity matches the mentality of the university.

Because results are variable, applying to 26 schools makes sense. You may get a full scholarship to a target school or a safety. Graduating without debt is a big deal. In this case, rejected from NEU and accepted to Yale. What if she did not apply to Yale?
