@@aserratt that's the best thing to do. Figure out everything ahead of time so that you're not rushing to do it last minute. Figure out all of the financials- will you get financial aid, will your parents help you, can you pay for some of it on your own and everything else you possibly can as soon as you can. Itll make your life soooo much easier. You don't need to sign your life away at 15 to a college but I just went to my local JC and there was a lot of stuff that I never anticipated needing to workout so doing as much of that stuff as you can early will save you so much stress

A large swimming kickboard is rlly good for communal showers. I’m a swimmer so I already had a kickboard and let’s just say it was sooo helpful. Put it down on the ground while u shower so when u clean ur feet, u don’t have to like balance and step around on your flip flops. Smack it against ur knee a few times and it’s completely dry when ur done.

Storage, storage, storage... Under the bed is best, you will have a lot of loose items, storage will hold them. I learned this quickly. Oh yeah, at the end of the year, my dorm had a "yard sale". aka: Everyone leaving left all their leftover items by the trash can, no matter how good they were. You can find a lot of good items in that pile, just look around carefully, and be sure to wipe them down. Also, with fridges: Defrost them, dry them out and clean them 24 hours before you leave if you have to unplug them. Trust me. Don't do it an hour before, my mom, in her infinite wisdom, did not tell me this. I came back to a science experiment living in my fridge. The smell stepping into my room took my breath away, my dad's reaction was worse. Another lesson from that: Don't buy three different cleaners of the strongest chemicals and use them all at once. I nearly got kicked out of my dorm for that.
