The Dynasty Mode trailer dropped for College Football 25 along with a lengthy deep dive article. I'm making multiple videos breaking down the news in great detail. This video focuses just on coaches and how you will be developing your coach. Coaches have a lot of personality in this game and a lot goes into developing them into the best coaches in CFB.

A few things that I personally loved 1. The menus and interface look sweet. 2. Getting all your job offers at once instead of one at a time. 3. The fact you can accept a new job before you play your bowl game is awesome. I can have a last "hoorah" with the boys. 4. You can tell players to hit the portal. In NCAA 14, I'd have multiple 90 ovr qbs. It makes more sense for them to transfer. 5. They fixed the bug that had recruits who would just not commit to anybody. 6. I like that you don't get all of their attributes when you scout them 100%. There should always be some mystery. 7. Hiring and firing assitant coaches is a much needed addition.

That’s one thing I always hated was players only transferring after their freshman year because it wouldn’t make sense. So I used to copy their attributes and cut them and just create them as a new recruit that next year

I agree that the next step for the coaches are position coaches. I’ve always wanted a “coach to glory” mode that starts you at at Position Coach, you can only use players at your positions and build your way up.

This, but I’d also like for them to have “realistic” coaches as well. For example I don’t want to see the Year 1 HC of LSU being a skinny black guy from California with a background in Quarterbacks and a C Prestige when Brian Kelly is a larger-ish white dude from Mass (who’s spent most of his coaching career in Michigan- see Bryce Underwood heading there next year) with a defensive background as a DB Coach. So hopefully they made the identities of the coaches reasonably realistic and authentic also even if you don’t necessarily have the ability to use their names, faces, etc.

This shows what EA studios can do when they are actually given time to make a game and when the card game aspects aren't the main focus (which I blame on players, not EA. They are just catering to their most profitable audience)

My only worry at this point is if or how buggy is the game going to be. If it launches at least mostly smooth without major bugs or save files not saving or what not, then this game could have potential to be one of the best sports games ever made. On paper, this all looks beyond impressive.

I’m so hype about the archetypes. It will allow for each dynasty to feel different and unique and actually allow for the building of an identity. For example, I can be the coach at Michigan and if I want to build a team with a ground and pound identity that focuses on Trench play I can focus on the OL and/or DL abilities. Or if I want to go to Washington or LSU I can bring and/or establish an identity somewhere as being DBU. Or you can be a QB Guru like a Lincoln Riley or build a fundamentals team like a Nick Saban. This is an absolutely amazing game changer for me in a positive way, and while position coaches I think are the future of this (hopefully maybe even realistic coaches so that you don’t get John Doe as the HC of Georgia for 20 years) this is an absolutely fantastic starting point that adds SO MUCH replay value compared to 14 when half the abilities felt meaningless and they were always the same in every dynasty for every team. No more Injury buffs when you have injuries off or dedicating 5% of your mandatory options (that will eventually hit 100%) to forcing you to upgrade your Catching on Defensive Backs. Awesome. Very excited.

I love that the upgrading of coaching archetypes is not just based on XP and there are certain milestones to hit before upgrading. That makes SO much more sense than just being like "op you have 2034193048321.3333 XP, you can buy whatever you want"
