It's quite obvious. he depicted himself as the pope and amongst other things it clear he's being prideful. In Kendricks other song, Pride, the theme of the song is to be humble. Kendrick loves to play on duality

GKMC is similar songs hold value outside the album but they're 100% only when into context. DAMN on the otherhand, each song hold its own and shines outside the context of the album. that's why when compared song by song i believe HUMBLE is top 3. that's just my personal opinion.

I agree with you that humble is a really good song and potentially in his top 3 but for me, when a song becomes too popular I begin to lose interest in it and start to look for flaws rather than the positives. And in my opinion his new album is being a bit overhyped but that’s only because the message he’s trying to convey is different from his older albums
