College Orientation | Pitt | Sara Kay

My college orientation week at the University of Pittsburgh (aka O-Week) was pretty busy. We got to do a LOT and while I know this video is all over the place and choppy, it's because in my spare time I was meeting new people, or walking to and from different places on campus! I know this is long but when I was looking at schools I WISHED there were videos like this up on channels to see what the school is actually like. I have some fun videos coming up, so get excited fam bam. Love you lots (college is busy and hard but also very cool, I'm enjoying myself)

I just applied on sept 27 and am anxiously waiting for an email...it’s my #1 school so I really hope I get in. Do you remember how long it took to get a reply? I know it depends on a lot of different things and online says 4-6 weeks but I’ve heard someone say they got accepted in 5 days?

Ashley K it definitely took a few weeks/months for me, i don’t remember the exact dates! don’t sweat it too much though, i didn’t hear back until spring !

The campus is super unique because you're surrounded by students and you have the city feel, and you're a 10-minute bus ride to the center of downtown, but near campus, there's woods and parks and green space so you get the best of both worlds. The surrounding area looks shady because the houses are old but they're all lived in by students so it's a very safe neighborhood. The people are gonna be different - nobody is the same and none of the students are the same, but I've only met kind and interesting people at Pitt, and in the surrounding neighborhoods like Shadyside, squirrel hill, etc... they keep up the neighborly reputation that Pittsburgh encourages.
