Spot on man, RVZ never met a moment that was too big and his songwriting was incredible. Always in control he was . The Needle and the Spoon is another great one. Thanks for the reaction.

Glad you're back! There were other fantastic bands at the time like .38 Special and Atlanta Rhythm Section who tried to be more radio-friendly Skynyrd siblings. The last great band of the southern rock genre was the Georgia Satellites. They had a lot of great songs but the one people remember is Keep Your Hands To Yourself, which is definitely a fun song and worth checking out.

What I love about this channel is you let it play through instead of stopping every 30 seconds to analyze it. A lot of song you need the feel the flow and it can't be done by breaking it up.

After the plane crash, Gary Rossington and Allen Collins, with some other survivors of LS, started the Rossington-Collins band. There were mixed receptions to their efforts, but I liked them. Sometime, check out their songs, "Don't Misunderstand Me" or "Getaway" or "Opportunity" or "Prime Time." R.I.P. to Gary Rossington who passed on March 5th. Staying tuned!!

Yeah I was in 9th grade when the plane crash happened and I was devastated. By about 11th grade I had every single one of their albums and I can literally say that I like every song on every album. They have a ton of hits but they also have a ton of deep cuts. I love it all. And I totally love Leon Wilkeson on bass after the first couple albums. He is a beast. And yeah, Ed King was crucial and I believe it was Bob Burns on drums for at least the first album, before it was Artimus Pyle, whom I also just really love. Do The Ballad Of Curtis Loew if you haven't yet, it's a huge fan favorite.
