I used to hate tomatoes, and then I tried growing some and found out that they can be delicious! This year I forced a determinate tomato to rush to completion via heavy fertilization, it was crazy getting a whole crop out of a plant by early August, and in Canada! You could try a tomato sandwich, that also helped convert me, it's just toasted bread that is well buttered and a good slice of tomato, it's surprisingly good. Nowadays when I need the upgraded version I melt cheese over some bacon (you could use something else, like those fried onion Indian stores sell under the cheese), it's just beyond words with a few leaves of lettuce and a tomato slice!
