A little comparison: When Monty Python realised that they couldn't make a genuine and funny parody of the life of Jesus Christ, they realised that it would be much better to make fun of his followers throughout the century. The result was The Life of Brian. For the amount of material they churn out, College Humor (and I especially credit Mike Trapp) show that they're capable of thinking laterally and creatively to come up with something both different and enjoyable.
