It's high time we had a Union Judiciary Service Commission on the lines of UPSC to select High Court judges from amongst meritorious candidates including 1. those who served for at least 2 years in Lower Judiciary (they should be allowed to gain practising experience as Advocates in High Court or Supreme Court continuously for a few years, say 2 years without pay and retaining their post in Lower Judiciary to make them eligible to attend UJSC entrance with 2+2 years of total experience) as well as 2. those outside Lower Judiciary who have requisite practising experience, say 5 years, as practising Advocate in any High Court or the Supreme Court. Supreme Court Judges to be selected on merit by UJSC from amongst High Court Judges having served a prescribed minimum number of years there.

Further, the collegium needs to be more forceful when it comes to recommending names. The delay in appointment is often because of the executive that seats on the recommendations for a long time without proper explanation.

Choti caste ka log ho ya badi, agar badhiya wakil ya judge ban ke dikha de, toh ban jayenge. Reservation har jagah karoge, toh constitution aur meritocracy ki dhajjiya ud jayengi. Savidhan Dr Ambedkar ji ne likha tha yeh na bhoolo. Apni buddhimanta se likha. Badhiya universities se gyaan ka gathan kar ke. Agar SC/ST/OBC lawyers jyada padhna nahi chahte, ya padhne ke baad bas private practice se dhan kamana chahte hain, toh yeh collegium ki galti nahi. Pehle judge banane layak kamyab logon ko tayyaar Karo judge banane ke liye.

Hum toh fair meritocracy ke balbute hi woh position maang rahe hai, jo currently available nahi hain, aur isiliye most of the judge jo sirf aur sirf ek dusre ki sifarishon se judge bane hai mostly so called upper caste, woh kisi lower caste ko judge banne dete hi nahi, aur na kabhi dene waale hai. Kyunki unme bhi, bohot sa jaativaad ka zehar bhara hua hai, and same goes to the people who oppose reservation.
