Every time Lukita has a scene with Harrison, there’s something more profound going on. Two different generations having heartfelt conversations. A grandchild having a talk with her grandfather to an extent.

For me this is the Best series ever from the US . Brilliant . I watch every episode at least 3 times a, as the script is so slick , so funny , it is easy to miss so many gems thrown into every sentence . All the cast are superb , especially Krista Miller . Where has she been ???

love the show, season 2 gets better except the totally bizarre character that Brett plays, it really bothers me that anyone would want to connect like a friend to the person who killed their mother...never heard of any therapist advising this behavior. Yes forgiveness is important, yet people who make mistakes need to pay the price, and manslaughter should have a much bigger price to pay and this show does the opposite.

Enjoyed season 1 ok, depsite it being probably the lamest character Segel has played. the writers were decent with developing a story line and mixing good characters together, but not so much with comedy. But Ford can be funny anyway. But season 2 went to crap pretty quickly. Got really tired of Gaby treating Jimmy like sh** after she broke it off. She sure enjoyed that boning for a good while. Then when she stopped it & somehow it was his fault. Ain't that a woman?

So far season 2 is pretty lame. Just seems more and more like extended Hallmark commercials or Lifetime channel tv movie scenes. More Grace, Paul, and whatever Roy Kent is gonna do. Way less of Alice almost ALWAYS being a dick to her dad, and the awful Connor & highly annoying Brian characters. And screw Gaby! She broke it off w/ Jimmy, blames him for their friendship being changed, then throws it back in his face, calling him 'so fu**ing selfish' cuz she actualy did 'catch feelings' for him after saying there weren't any. Sick of them all constantly shi**ing on him. Gaby, take some responsibility, and keep it in your pants!

The show is about dealing with feelings as they evolve in your mind's eye. It isn't a silent film ffs ... you kinda have to hear words coming out of character's mouths to develop a storyline. I loooove this show. It is affirming how I deal with my life except it also confirms that my humour is on point. I love how free and uninhibited everyone is, and how that is also balanced with councilling for each other, and forgiveness and reaching out endlessly for a better life no matter what. Hands down the best show I have ever watched in my life. And it presented itself at the best time too. I needed this show. And Gabby is my fav. Also I collect rocks and give them to people. Best scene so far: canoe rental slowly comin down the river...my God how I laughed when I read the words on the boat.

So lame yet evokes such a strong reaction - I guess it has done its job :P although I do agree about some points, especially Jimmy's daughter. I hope there is max 3-4 seasons.
