Every time I do research for my videos, I cross my fingers that there's a relevant interview by Perri. So happy to have this, she's simply the best.

Hear hear. I was just doing research too and found this. It's a godsend to hear from the director himself.

You know it’s a good film when you can’t stop thinking about it every time you see an older person

What a great movie!! In a day and age where the art of story telling is shadowed by CGI and cheesy jump scares, it’s refreshing to see this kind of movie! And now I need to rewatch it… had no idea it was the same actress?!?

Such an amazingly unique theme for a movie like this, I love it so much, it will be a classic!

X was such a fun movie. As Ti said, this premise could really only take place in the ‘70s, and it fit the grimy, sweaty grindhouse aesthetic like a glove. Great interview as always, Perri. I enjoy your interviews irrespective of genre, but as a fellow horror aficionado (especially Scream), your passion for the genre is much appreciated!

I’ve been with Ti since The Roost. He’s always been a brilliant horror mind to me. House Of The Devil should be considered one of the best horror movies all time. For him to take his craft to another level, and release X… it blows my mind! Ti will always be close to my heart as a cinephile. He’s the next shit. You should look for “Directed by Ti West”

James wan seemed to also have a recharge moment in making a film that calls back to a certain era, w malignant it was a homage to the 90s and here w X it’s the 70s

one of the most underappreciated feature directors in the business. To bad my calls for him to take over (insert horror franchise here) for the past 13 years have fallen on deaf ears. Fingers crossed for the future! great work as always perri.

Ti West is an amazing director, I've been following him since "The Inkeepers" in 2011, I think he's approaching Quentin Tarantino status with horror movies. Very enjoyable films

Brilliant movie. I was expecting an entertaining exploitation throwback, but I most certaintly wasn't expecting an interesting discourse between youth and aging. At the heart of the film, there is a fascinating exploration of the crippling effect of losing your vitality.

I really enjoyed both movies, but also found X a tad confusing in relation to Pearl. My question; is the old woman we saw in X supposed to be Pearl now? Or has Pearl now become Maxine after leaving the farm behind and embarking on her quest for stardom?

Lady on the farm is pearl, Maxine is a new character

I picked up on the references to classic horror movies such as “All The Boys Love Mandy Lane” and “Bubba Ho-Tep,” but I don’t think “X” rose to the level of classic slasher movie. “X” lacked the gore and tension of other comedy / horror films such as “You’re Next.”

I hope Maxine doesn’t end up like Marilyn Monroe in the sequel, she’s already off to a tortured start
