Colin Raye reminds me of the "Voice" Vern Gosdin..An amazing voice, recorded beautiful songs yet was so darn underrated..I just dont get it to tell you the truth...Colin Raye recorded "Little Rock" in 1994..At the time I was a heavy drinker with a wife and 2 young boys. I never realized what effect that song would have on my life..June 11,2002 I was drinking alone and was listening to that song and I did something that stunned me..I simply broke down in tears..At that very moment I knew I was an alcoholic..The following day, June 12th, 2002, I attended my first AA meeting.. That June 11th night was the last drink I had..I've been sober for over 17 years by the Grace of God, AA, My Family and Colin Raye..Today I also have 3 beautiful Grandkids who are ages 11, 9 and 4..They have never seen me take a sip of alcohol..I'll always be an alcoholic but I pray each day that I'll die a reformed alcoholic..Thank you Colin Raye and thanks everyone for reading my story..Godspeed!!
