@@evelynrosemarydsouza8753 not everyone has money for two weddings though. That is super expensive! I think they did a great job. They both chose light colored clothes for the wedding throwing back to the Christian heritage rather than the traditional hindu red. I felt it was a good fusion. I imagine the Columbian momma is catholic though and probably found it difficult. I personally am all about hindu weddings. So much color and flowers everywhere! Nothing like it in occidental culture. Wish I could be an "extra" at a hindu wedding ;) ha ha ha

Some times we even go with jewelry and bangles set to match with saris!!! Than to other shop than to other!!!! Sometimes they offer food samosas!!! So much fun!!! And these shop owners are not Americanized, they want to sell but they know you are ready to buy, we have money and it’s a special occasion so they treat us like bride to begin with!!!! I dint know the only person working there is owner I thought this shop is of some indian and they must have recruited some illegal immigrant to sell!!! As she is not polite at all!!!! I work in retail wether a customer buys $50 or $5000 customer service is equally polite, friendly and not direct or upfront at all!!!! I thought she must be new immigrant not knowing better working for some cash!!!! But if she could afford Gucci belt she should know customer service with that said now a days brand name any off street immigrant has!!! 🙄🙄🙄🙄....

Interesting relationship dynamics in the first bride with her mother and aunt. The atmosphere immediately froze when the aunt arrived. The whole disapproval act from the aunt seemed to be a control issue. She wasn't there from the start, so she wanted to be the center of attention - even more than the mother. The aunt never answered Shia's question about "touching their feet." It was as though the aunt was pushing her opinion and desires, but once the bride wheedled and genuflected to her aunt, the aunt gave her blessing. Fascinating.

I can tell mom and sister had no explanation of why red lehenga is bridal and white is typically a no-no. This part of the episode made me mad because there is no info on exactly what kind of wedding this will be, if it's truly fusion or is it traditional indian, and what his family's take is on it as well as her family's opinion.

I’m so glad this bride had the courage and the stamina to stand up to her auntie and that the mother supported with the bride wanted. She looked amazing and so beautiful in the outfit she chose and she’s going to wear her hair partially down, if not completely down at the wedding, so it’s not gonna look like she’s “scantily dressed! It was a very modest and modern top and I think the auntie was being too ridiculous trying to push her away instead of listening to what the bride wanted. Which by the way, I love the second dress as well. It was stunning on the bride just as much and it hurt me that the auntie could not see that the bride loved it, too! Yeah that was sad. The navy blue and rose gold is trending in India though. I've seen it in every boutique. It's common now. But yes others are outdated but pretty. I would say the 1st bride had gold, blush and navy as theme. So there are many colours to play with. But the owner chose all navy blue based like we can have a navy blouse with blush bottom of lengha or something. Even the masi was like where are the colours? But she chose a pretty lengha. I was upset for the 2nd bride tho. She picked the 3rd because they didn't like the other 2. Like no choice. White and red lengha would do you know🤦‍♀️

My friend had two weddings, there was no way she was going to discount her heritage or traditions for an Indian wedding, and her fiancee who is Indian wasn't going to not have a Hindu wedding. They made it work, everyone was happy, cultures combined for each wedding. Her Indian outfit was bought by her mother in law and it was no way over embroidered or heavy like the ones shown in this video. I think she got it from India.

OKAY guys, stop giving Shia so much trouble in the comments! She DESIGNS 90% of these clothes herself! She doesn't put anyone down! She's doing her best to provide a good sales experience, and I would rather have a laid back and HONEST sales person helping me then fake enthusiasm ANY DAY. Theres a reason her shop is successful, stop being so disrespectful. Don't you people realize she's a real person with feelings who reads the comments! @@R14iify There is no conversion procedure in Hinduism. People who wants to follow it can just do it on their own by following the essence of the Hindu culture. This bride probably also is doing the same by staying true to the tradition. I agree that in this case, she could have done a Christian wedding to keep her family happy and a Hindu one to keep the in-laws happy. She could have been happier that way.

I've stopped reading the comments on this show's comment section! On EVERY VIDEO people complain about how the shopkeeper is ripping off the people, how "India" has better clothing for cheaper prices, how boring the shopkeeper is, and how the show is over scripted! WHY are you people so f%&&//g NEGATIVE! You're horrible! Not only that, you're stereotyping Indian people as over critical, snide, controlling and bent on tradition. There is no joy in reading these comments because most people on here think they know better. It's worse than Say Yes to the Dress! People check yourselves on your negativity!

Plus she can charge as much as she wants as long as people are willing to pay for it, It sure is expensive but I wouldn’t call somebody a rip off, if you don’t like it, don’t buy it from there.
