Lorenzo Colombo embodies the new wave of winemakers who are slowly returning to the land giving new lifeblood to Valtellina wine scene. Not so long ago his job had very little to do with harvest and fermentations, he was in fact an electrician. Historic local producers seem to appreciate the "new wave" of young people who choose to abandon their daily routine to dedicate themselves full time to viticulture in this area as beautiful as difficult to manage. The goal is to create a movement that, starting from vines, represents a driving force for both economy and care of the Valtellina area.
In these places the hand of man has been able to create cultivable space on the steep slopes of the Orobie pre-Alps, allowing vineyards and mountains to coexist in balance thanks to the construction of terraces on which Nebbiolo grape ,locally known as Chiavennasca, finds perfect conditions to express itself at its best
