Talk about truly giving your life to medicine. Jesus Christ, in west Africa fighting Ebola during an outbreak. Some people are really sent by God. Thank you Dr. Paul and all the countless unnamed world citizens fighting for a better tomorrow.

Way better than Jesus ... Because the person is real, and educated.

if god actually did stuff, world citizens wouldn't have to fight for a better tomorrow. damn you religious people are brainwashed

It's done in Africa and the same thing is done here. There was a nurse testimony saying that patients were let to die without treatment. Colonialism is live and well in the 21st century. It seems we still have the need for a real Human rights revolution. The lost war was never lost since the loosers continued in power.

Dr Farmer says, "lessen the risk for infection," where he means to say, "lessen the risk of infection." In English, we say "chance of," "probability of" and "risk of."

Wrong title. Pauperisation fuels Epidemics/Pandemics. But since pauperisation is maintained by developed nations over the decades, you can extrapolate that developed nations have a hand in the mass deaths of poor people.

Jordan Peterson needs to meet this guy! I would enjoy listening to a debate between them. JP is too far right in his beliefs that Capitalism is great!

Why would a brilliant and accomplished man like Dr. Farmer waste his time debating a crank like Jordan Peterson?

I've come to the conclusion the capitalist system is the root cause of most problems we see today. The capitalist system drives human behavior. At the heart of the capitalist system is the constant programming to consume. A system predicated on infinite consumption assumes that we live on a planet with infinite resources. This is where I call the current capitalist system unscientific because we live on a closed system on one planet with limited resources. Any system where you're forced to submit your labor for income is really not that far away from being slavery.

@@Don-md6wn So he can decimate his far right beliefs about the economy and the standard of living of indigenous peoples. JP believes we have done a bang up job of pulling people out of poverty all over the world. His perspectives are very colonial.

If that's the case... you need to listen to Jorden Peterson once more... he is not making a case for capitalism... you got him wrong...
