I can't tell you how timely this video is and how much easier I feel about it now. I literally was just talking to someone yesterday about the fact that it is getting close to time for me to have this done for the first time, and how scared I was about it. But now seeing that you had such an uneventful experience, I guess I will go ahead and schedule! Thank you!!

G'day Trista. This is EXACTLY why I made this video. 👍 I cannot speak for every person and every hospital, but I was overtaken with fear beforehand and I was so scared. In the end, it was a lot easier than expected and I really hope I can put people at ease and make the whole experience clearer to people doing it for the first time. Good luck Trista and I wish you all the very best. Daz.

Great video Daz. I’m so glad it went well. Checking your info often is such a good sign. In Alberta they recommend anyone over 50 having this procedure. That’s amazing that they gave you food and drinks later. 🙌 I’m proud of you for venturing out for this! Take care friend! 🌺

G'day Annette. Thanks very much. I really was a mess as blood is not a good sign and the doctor had me do 2 checks before going on to the colonoscopy. Then I was worried about the procedure and my agoraphobia had me absolutely sick over having to go and wait at waiting rooms, be in a public waiting ward etc... Glad it's done and results were fine. Oh the food and drink. It's pretty standard over there. My wife had 4 hour procedure last week and that hospital had sandwiches and hot and cold drinks for here before she came home. Thanks as always, Daz.

I know this all too well Daz😵💫 I have to have these on a regular basis thanks to my health issues. The picoprep is not a good experience for me with my condition 😢 And the anesthesia has to be tailor made as I have trouble with that too, but the doctors were fantastic dealing with me, and now they’ve got me sorted in a few hours, instead of a hospital stay 🙌🏼 Glad to hear your results were clear xx Cathi xx 😘

G'day Cathi. I'm so sorry you have gone through all you have. I really did work myself up with too much nervous energy and it was thankfully all good in the end. Take care Cathi. Daz.

G'day Tina. Ugh I was a bit of a mess as I also had my agoraphobia to deal with and I was totally on my own once I went to the ward. So relieved it is all done and it all went well. Hope this puts others at ease when they are researching the process. Take care. Daz.

G'day! Thanks very much. You are too kind. I was an absolute mess leading up to this and it was all over nothing in the end. So relieved at how easy the procedure was and obviously how good the results were. Thanks as always. Daz.

Had mine a few years ago. That picoprep is insane in what it does.

G'day mate. The doctor was telling me that people try to get it for rapid weight loss, so paperwork is a must when getting it these days. Apparently you used to be able to get it without any form of paperwork. All the best. Daz.

I actually loved the pico prep. What it did to me wasn’t great, but the flavour was something I enjoyed.

G'day. I have to look at that again. I get so tongue tied when making videos. I make so many mistakes. 😁 I think what I was trying to say, was that it tasted good, but the circumstances and experience of the fizziness and trying to drink it sooner than sit next to me for an hour or so was not that great. I hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for watching and I hope all is well. Daz.

Mum has just had one, she thought the newer 'drink' was going to be nicer and was still disgusted. It's an uncomfortable thing to have to do but a good thing we can check for any problems, I'd rather have it than not! Good on you for sharing.

G'day! Thanks so much. I was incredible anxious and my hope is that video will put people at ease, who might be anxious and researching the topic. All the best. Daz.

My husband has an annual colonoscopy due to his illnesses. The worst thing apart from the preparation, is filling in the hospital admission form every year. We have 2 acres in Tasmania on the north coast. Prolific produce currently, and not enough rain. Dehydrating like mad, cooking like crazy, and having enough food until next year. Can't complain. All organic as well. Everything we grow is caged with netting all over. No possums currently, but wallabies. We share with them though. ❤
@MyAussieGardenKitchen9 ай бұрын
G'day Jennifer. I'm sorry your husband needs to do it every year. All my very best to him. Oh, it sounds great where you are and good on you with all that produce and preserving it. I have some dehydrating videos if you are interested. I hope you get some rain. We can't complain about that here in Northern Vic. It's been another cooler and wet Summer here. 2 acres in Tasmania would be great! I was looking years ago, but the wife wanted to stay closer to family. Can't complain though, as this property has turned out to be the best move I've ever done. Good luck with everything Jennifer and all the best. Daz.

@MyAussieGardenKitchen Moving from South Australia is what we did. My husband and our 2 adult sons are English born. The kids are still in South Australia, and we miss them. We moved because of Bill's health, but it was a great move. Been here 17 years and love it. Jennifer.

That drink thing looks so much better than the one I had (Far West NSW here). My specialist wanted me to use a different one. It claimed to be mango flavoured, it required two doses of 500mL each, 12 hours apart. It tasted like rotting mangos in ocean water. Swallowing 500mL of something so foul was the hardest and most horrible part of the entire process. Everything else was fine and it was a great excuse to have pineapple flavoured jelly (jello in American) for every meal for a day. 😄 Good to see you go off-topic from your normal schedule to talk so openly about this, it's important that people get to hear it from someone they can relate to that's been there done that and had a completely normal (aka good) experience with it.
@MyAussieGardenKitchen3 ай бұрын
G'day! Oh no! I'm so sorry your one tasted like that. Not sure how I would have gone with that. Ugh! Pineapple jelly. YUM! I do hope this will help someone and thanks so much for your kind words. Take care. Daz.

Thanks for sharing this! Accurate share of the experience! Hope you find out what is wrong. We found the US equivalent of the stuff to drink a bit hard…more urgent…and a gallon of it to drink. But we are glad it is behind us!
@MyAussieGardenKitchen9 ай бұрын
G'day Lisa. I cannot tell you how anxious I was and how much wasted energy I spent in the lead up. In the end, it was nowhere near as bad and kind of a non event in a way. Very relieved. Ugh, sorry your stuff was not that great. Another Aussie commented to say that their drink was terrible. I'm sure it was "behind you". 😜 Seriously though, I hope all went well. Really hope this video puts people at ease when they are researching it. Take care. Daz.

I'm glad your experience with the stuff you drink was better than mine. They must do it differently here in WA. I had to drink 4 litres of a vile tasting, non fizzy concoction over 12 hours before the procedure. It made me violently ill, from both ends if you get my drift lol. So glad it all went well for you Daz.

G'day! First of all, it's nice to meet someone else in Victoria. My wife and kids are planning a day trip to Sovereign Hill at the moment actually. I hope this video helped you in some way and you'll be fine. I still can't believe how I went there and left, feeling like nothing happened other than a small sleep. All the best for Friday and your results. Daz.

G'day Daz, I have had this done several times plus an endoscopy. My grandfather had colon cancer and polyps run in my family. I have to have an endoscopy several times as well. I deal with acid reflux and I have to have my esophagus stretched between 12 to 24 months, with my C Diff that I had back in Sept. I might have to have another Endo & colonoscopy. I find out on Feb 6th. Great review. TFS! Blessings to you my friend. Have a blessed week. ✝🙏🏼💕

In the UK our sedation doesn't always put you to sleep. Mine was excruciating even with a peadiactric scope. Womans colons tend to be longer and sometimes twisty, hense why they tend to struggle with it sometimes

G'day Lisa. Oh wow, I am so sorry that you went though that. I was talking to someone from the UK recently and they had a similar experience to me and they did not remember a thing. I am so sorry your procedure was not like that Lisa. I hope you are well and all the very best, Daz.

I had this procedure once not because I was sick but because i was at that age I will never do that again unless I was having bowel issues. This procedure is nothing but a money maker for the US doctors that are owners of the centers! Again if you are having issues yes have it done! Darren I hope that find out what is wrong!
