I have been watching the show since season 1and really enjoy the show (In am 61 BTW) You have Lincoln the quite thinker, Nikki the class of the show and Dave the teacher. I really like the way Dave explains options to other players during the game. It not only shows he wants a very competitive game, but doesn't want to win because a player may not know or understand a rule. Because if this I can get a real feel for the game. BTW I am very competitive and it becomes 2bd nature without thinking about, do kudos to Dave..

20:40, Lincoln argues that the upgraded Construction is not one use: "But you can build as many as you want, which is not really once". But (if I understand the rules as explained), it is. Because you can't say, construct, use a different card, to get a new die you want, and then construct again. You have to make all those purchases at once, right? Also, my son played this game a few months ago and really loved it. I haven't had the chance yet. Looking forward to it.

Even if Mike already had a 4 on the prize shack, the odds of getting a 5 or 6 on an upgraded prize shack are 19/27, or about 70%. I'd say that's worth the risk.

I've only watched the rules explanation so far but I get a Machi Koro feeling with this...a better, upgraded, version of Machi Koro...

I know people that like Machi Koro that don't care for Colony, and vice versa. The connections are there, but in my experience it doesn't naturally follow that liking one means you'll automatically like the other.
