Color Changing Mandala Dot Art Painting Tutorial | Mood Rock | Green Pastel Color Shift Paint

🌈 So much is going on in this Mandala! First... do you not just love this whole mood ring idea with a rock? LOL, I thought... wouldn't it be cool if You could thumbprint a rock and get your mood! Second... Did you see the new colorshift pastel green? I got that one in store at my local Walmart so I don't have a link for you to where I bought mine. But isn't it stunning? Ok, I think it's a little more blue than green but it sure resided happily among all these other greens so I'm pleased!
I think this is one of my prettiest designs. Sometimes I just love to grab a rock and leave the guides in the drawer. This is how I make the majority of my mandalas. I pick out the colors and then just let the dots take me where they will. I don't think I ever get this lucky though. This one made me very happy! I hope you guys enjoy!

@@JaDeLRocks I did notice that you were using a new paint! Even though it looked kinda green when you held up the bottle before you put it on your palette, it looked a bit blue on the rock near the "greens". No matter- It's a beautiful effect and I love that new Colorshift paint!

Why do you flatten out the paint

I’m not 100% sure what you mean so I watched the video again. I did smooth out the first black dot. I did that because that’s where the color changing paint would go. Almost any time I know I’m going to top dot, I try to make sure the first dot is smooth. It’s easier and neater to dot on a smooth surface opposed to a lumpy dot. Other than smoothing out the black dot… the rest of the paint naturally dried flat. You can add more layers of paint or add some heavy body gel to your paint if you’re wanting it to stay up a little.
