Is there a benefit to doing this in PS instead of Premiere? Either way, didn't know you could colour grade video in PS before this

If you just have the photography package - you don't need to spend more money to get the package with Premiere. That's the only benefit I can think of - and it is why I use Photoshop for the very little video work I do.
