Color Harmony is Easy When You Know THIS Technique

The technique I’m about to explain to you in this video is so useful and satisfying it’s not even fair. It’s both a mixing technique and a color harmony system so it will not only help you get the right color but also guarantee that it’s in harmony with the rest.
I call this technique the dual scale mixing technique or double scale palette, whatever you prefer, it’s a made up name, it doesn’t really need to have a name to be honest, it’s pretty basic. The idea is to have two complementary value scales next to each other and to pick paint from the interval in the middle. This is our mixing gamut right here and you can see how it keeps everything tightly together.

I am an artist living and working in France. I learned the techniques of the Atelier of the Nineteenth century and now I try to share some of my knowledge with the rest of the world, because I think that beauty still has an important role to play in artistic creation. I only paint whit 5 colour for both my acrylic and oil paints. I use Alizarin crimson,Cadmium primary Yellow,ultramarine blue,tittanium white and intense black

I use a grey paper pallet. I am a biginner painter and i wanted to experiment whit a the grey palette but not buy a big glass pallet yet. I dind know if like the grey palette. I still have to test it for my oil and acrylic paints. I love you,re paintings and you,re explanation of painting witch medium to use ectra. Thank you.
