I'm a 35 year old man and I'm telling you that I choke up when I listen to some songs that were out when I was younger. I was maybe 13 or 14 when this was released and it just takes me back to that time. Little innocent crushes, middle school, hanging out with friends when their were no cell phones or computers. You ain't the only one. I was 10 when this song dropped and Color Me Badd's talent was undeniable. It's like my generation grew up in the last golden age of music. I saw a recent video of the remaining members singing this on Good Day L.A. and my god, they sound exactly the same. Somebody get a hold of the Doctor and his TARDIS. We're going back to the 90's.

Chili from TLC was the only one in the group that could halfway sing. Alliyah (RIP) couldn't sing for shxt. BoneTNH can't sing albeit they're in a genre where singing isn't a tenet. JLo, well we've all heard the stories and seen for ourselves. The music industry has always propped up people based off skintone and looks.

This song was probably the first thing that exposed me to Spanish language back when I was in middle school. I even memorized some parts of the Spanish lyrics (some words turned out to be incorrect - back in the early 90s, there was no internet where we could easily find the lyrics as now) without actually having a single clue of their meaning. CMB and this song remains to be one of my favorites of all time.
