There are very few things in life that compare to that feeling you get when you stumble upon a musician whose music you just completely and totally vibe with. This track (along with so many of your other tracks) is just so so so good. Been working and grooving to your stuff all night. Cheers!

Great track again! You can't make this thing sound bad do you? There a tons of video's out there with elektron gear and i'm always like naah idk. But then i listen to your tracks, and you actually create evolving songs that's almost like some kind of story. And the best part is, you're sharing it with the community. Thank you so much

I also have played with an A4 in the music store a few week ago. It's such a fun way to make music! I had something going on, and was playing around forgetting time. I had a few sounds on a track, and i was looking for some sounds to work from, and i pressed something that kind of erased all the different sounds on the same track and left me with the same sound i picked. It's fun but very easy to screw up your project :p But i guess that's part learning the device

Thank you very much, Matt! I really appreciate it :). Hehe, I've ruined patterns that way too. It sounds like the pattern and kit got decoupled somehow. I've accidentally ruined patterns by forgetting to switch to a new kit before making and saving changes, hence overwriting the kit I used on previous patterns. Still happens to this day, but like Dr.Lämmerbein says, you'll find workarounds for it. In my case, I just save the current kit to a new slot then clear the track sounds every time I work on a new pattern, so I have a ton of "Kit33" kits all over the list of kits :P

To my ears, still one of the nicest analog synths out there. Would love to see Elektron do something like the Novation Summit based on an enhanced Analog Four with more voices, combined with additional stuff from the digital boxes (FM, sample based), in a nice and sturdy 5 octave chassis.
@ArminDressler2 жыл бұрын
But, as I most of the time don't have access to my hardware synths and just work on my laptop... I really would like to see a plugin that comes close to this sound.
@IvarTryti2 жыл бұрын
@@ArminDressler The A4 sounds really good to me, too. There's some talk about it sounding thin, and I think it's because the init patch is extremely plain. Getting to the interesting sounds takes a lot of minor tweaks across a lot of pages, but it really opens up once that's done.

That moment @0:47 when the chill arp comes in over the harder drums and bass is magic! And again when the lead comes in! Incredible stuff.

So good! I don't get the claims that this box sounds "sterile" etc. Great composition Ivar!
@IvarTryti2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! I think the reason some feel the A4 is sterile is because the init sound is incredibly plain, and it takes a lot of tiny adjustments all over the place to make it sound more alive. I even made my own "init" patch that has all my go-to adjustments already made to save a lot of time when making sounds from scratch.
@induktor2 жыл бұрын
@@IvarTryti Reasonable theory. Smart move on the custom init patch with edits like adding subtle modulation to pitch, filter etc. for a more lively voice.

Kick + Bass is one single sound?
@IvarTryti2 жыл бұрын
Yep, it's basically a kick sound but I've turned up the sustain and release so it also plays a deep buzzy tone. Then I used a saw-shaped LFO on the filter cutoff to make it sound like it's playing 16th notes, and a few other tricks to get the most out of one voice.
