Colorado did not disappoint us as we experienced the challenge of Corkscrew pass and Ophir pass.
Adventure riding the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route is one of the best places in America to ride adventure motorcycles. Join the journey as we cross epic mountain passes at high elevation. This adventure will take us through some of Colorado’s best dirt roads and infamous rugged trails with the best views it has to offer.
We will bring you beautiful drone shots and great riding footage accompanied by a few crashes along the way.
This video is episode 5 of the COBDR (Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route) This episode starts on top of California Pass in Colorado and goes to Telluride. This is also known as section 2 of the COBDR

What a truly inspiring video series. Ophir is an amazing pass, and it’s interesting to me to see how much it actually changes from Video to Video. I was a new rider of only four months and I did that pass on my Yamaha 700. Life changing. Tears flowed after I made it. Appreciate you brother.

I live in the same town as David. I’ve ridden bicycle with him and actually just saw him at our local dealership a few weeks ago and he let me check out his big Honda and chatted a bit in the parking lot. I’m new to riding, actually just got a bike myself. Don’t know him other than that, but what an inspiring guy. Hope to catch up with him soon and let him train me to ride my new toy. Awesome podcast as well! Love hearing his story of his journey with Christ and so glad you shared that! Glad I found your channel. Keep spreading God’s word brother!

Brock...What have you learned about riding in tough terrain from your ride(s) with David? Any particular skills that you may have picked up from David that you can share that would help other ADV riders starting out? Just finished the WY BDR on a KTM 390 ADV. I'm a 35 yr. veteran of riding HD's and this was my first ADV bike and first BDR. My most challenging thing was not having good ground clearance and over packing (weight distribution). Looking at the new CFMoto 450 IBEX. "IF" I muster up enough courage to try another BDR, I'd love to possibly ride with you and others. Maybe you'd consider trying a BDR on the east coast? God Bless from South Carolina!

When you say it’s better with a group, I get it. However, you say it like it’s a choice. My entire life I’ve barely known anyone who rides, none of them were into ADV and only one person I’ve ever know was at a similar skill level which wouldn’t have made riding together terribly painful. I rode solo exclusively, but not by choice, so I don’t know where you guys are meeting these people. For me, it’s either adventuring alone and accepting the additional challenge and risk, or I don’t ride.

Hey Ryan, I was pretty much riding by myself also, until I heard one day on the radio about this app called Meetup. I decided to put together my own group advertising for like-minded Adventure style motorcycling.. people started joining my group almost immediately, and now three years later I've got approximately 75 members. Also, if I happen to see an adventure motorcyclist at a gas station fueling up, I go over and say hello and 9 times out of 10 it turns into a good conversation and future member

@@northeastadventuremotorcycleri I use Meetup at the animal shelter I volunteer at and it never occurred to me to use it for ADV. Good idea. Wonder if anyone is riding year-round like me, so maybe I’ll give it a try around my next trip around Thanksgiving. WRT gas stations, VERY rarely ever see other ADV riders on the SM500 so I never see them at gas stations.
