Beautiful majestic animals. I love wolves. I don’t love what they have done to our deer population here in Wisconsin and neighboring Minnesota since they were reintroduced. This was a terrible decision.

I hate to tell you this, but wolves restored the deer population to their natural level, that's what top predators really do, they keep the herbivores in their natural levels.

There is now a hunting season in Wy, MT, and ID due to the over population of wolves. Appears Colorado Div of Wildlife forgot to due their homework again. Another great idea by the folks that brought you Chronic Wasting Disease, Whirling Disease, and gill lice to Colorado.

Wolves will literally help lower chronic wasting disease, chronic wasting disease is only as bad as it is due to an overpopulation of deer and not enough apex predators thinning the heard.

There goes the Elk population
@JD-ku6vd
@JD-ku6vd Жыл бұрын
Very obviously you do not live around elk. They are abundant, and five wolves will hardly make any dent in their population particularly in Colorado where, other than mountain lions and the occasional bear, they have no natural predators.
@jim2498
@jim2498 Жыл бұрын
@@JD-ku6vd if there are so many elk in Colorado. Why don't the state give out more elk tags? Because elk hunting brings in a lot of money to the state. Second you do know that wolves increase in numbers really fast

@@zachvanarsdale7065 tell me how will they help so much when they are killing baby elk?
@zachvanarsdale7065
@zachvanarsdale7065 Жыл бұрын
Oh I'd love to; Because they don't just kill baby elk, they also reduce disease in deer/elk population by targeting sick individuals, limiting spread of disease, this is actually their main target when hunting, not baby elk. Why would a pack of wolves that needs to feed a whole pack intentionally target babies with less meat rather than an adult that is disadvantaged. They also help regulate deer/elk populations by thinning out unfit individuals, which makes the heard more robust and actually long term strengthens heard health and numbers. Also, by regulating deer/elk populations, the entire ecosystem benefits, allowing the proper density of trees, shrubs, grasses, etc. It's been proven they literally help remap rivers and improve wetland habitats, increasing fish populations and biodiversity as a whole. @@jim2498

I hope these wolves make their way to Rocky Mountain National Park, that would be a good home and a safe place where they cannot attack rancher's livestock, and hopefully they could fix their ecosystem's just like they did in Yellowstone.

They won't. These wolves have been known to kill cattle. So that is what they are going to be looking for.
@razaabbas7212

@@jim2498 I know that but wolves only do that because human's are pushing further and further into the natural world and get rid of the wild animals that wolves and cougars feed on, and replace the land with their farms and ranches. What I'm saying is for the wolves to find their way into the Rocky Mountain National Park, and prey on the animals over there. If ranchers shoot in the air then it will scare wolves into running away from their cattle.

If wolves went extinct, the food chain would crumble. The elk and deer population would increase and eat the cow and other livestock's food. Then we, the Humans, would have a food shortage in beef and dairy and possibly shortages in other food products too.
@jim2498
@jim2498 Жыл бұрын
Wrong. Now food prices are going up. Because wolves eat cattle too. Besides that Colorado is going to lose a lot of money. Because people travel out west to go elk hunting. Which brings in a lot of money to the state.

Horrible, those poor wolves will suffer finding a home and food in a new area. They will likely get into fights, eat from dumpsters and never form a real pack. This is akin to dumping migrants into cities they are not acclimated to.

@@jim2498 you did enjoy paying $100.00 for toilet paper or $200.00 for hand sanitizer when inflation started under tRump. If a recession or inflation starts under one president and continues under another president then the president owns what they caused. Since every recession and inflation due to the major drop caused by the recession has been caused by every single Republican president for the last 43 years. That's also why Republicans own 83% of the national debt of $33.1 trillion. I agree with those that believe accountability for having the responsible parties pay back that debt even if they are sent to prison for fraud.

This is not simply about reintroducing wolves. Key word ‘reintroducing! Most folks have some understanding of nature in balance. Take some time to review the below. Then come to one's own conclusion: . “mononatures”: the reproduction of life with the aim of relentlessly generating surplus value where entire bureaucratic infrastructures buttress the genomics of cattle breeding.
