1. Abolish qualified immunity ASAP, 2. Abolish civil asset forfeiture ASAP, 3. Make it illegal for a cop to mute or turn off a cop body camera, 4. Make it cheap, easy and fast for a citizen to obtain any and all ... not redacted when possible ...records, 5. Make all internal investigations subject to independent civilian oversight. 6. Fast track civil rights lawsuits into months instead of years. Unless big changes are made in American law enforcement, I expect more of this. Please attack me now.

The dead shooter who ambushed the trooper has a name. His name is Victor Anthony De Santiago. He’s not a “suspect.” He actually shot the trooper, Corporal Tye Simcox. First, De Santiago shot Simcox by driving up from behind as you saw on the dashcam. Then De Santiago pulled over to finish the job, giving time for the trooper, already shot in the arm, to retrieve his long gun and set up for the second assault. So the trooper was ACTUALLY ambushed, not in quotes which suggests he wasn’t, and the dead attempted murderer (not the “suspect”) was a 32 year-old Hispanic, born in California (US citizen), long-time resident of Colorado.
