This is a great resource!! Thank you! I had the impression that the Monarch Store/Gift shop had some hiker foods available, maybe not much, but more than candy. So, I am glad to hear your report.

Glad to hear it was helpful, Rose! I really like the Monarch Gift Shop, and I am told that they are under new ownership. The new owners are, I'm told, hoping to make the shop even more hiker-friendly this year. Here's hoping!

Superb review and recommendations. I’ll use many of those this coming August. And yes, Creede is a very cute town! I lived there in grade school. Dad was the Superintendent of the little log school at the time. Those years hold my happiest childhood memories. I might have a double zero there.

Hello! Thanks for the video. My wife and daughter are going to meet me somewhere on the trail for a zero and a resupply. If you were to pick ONE place on the trail where you would take the help the most where would it be? I was possibly thinking for a ride into Salida?
@OutsideComfortZone10 ай бұрын
That's a great question. I think the Salida trip is probably a good meetup place for a ride and zero. If not there, Spring Creek Pass would be great to get a ride down to Lake City, one of my favorite places on the trail. Both are great options. It's also going to really help you boost your spirits when you have a tough day to know that your family will be there somewhere along the way. Hope this helps!

Your info on the CT has gotta be the best on KZbin. It’s the Molas Lake Campground. It’s the only campground near the pass so I suppose the name really doesn’t matter.🤷♂️

@@OutsideComfortZone I’m continuing my section hike of the CT. Starting up again near Mt Princeton Hot Springs and going as far as possible. At least 100 miles more, maybe the rest if all goes well. Just waiting for the snow to clear! BTW we met up on the Ten Mile ridge and you took drone footage. I’m Lin aka Elderberry. Happy hiking!
