I was a NOBO last year and really liked the hostel in Bailey. I debated stopping there because I was getting close to the end of my thru hike. I was SO GLAD I did. I hitched into town. There was not a lot of traffic, so that can be hit or miss. It is much better if you get there early. If you will get there later in the day, I would suggest arranging the shuttle before hand. I did take the shuttle back to the trailhead from the hostel the next morning. The people at the hostel were super helpful. They gave us a ride into town to run some errands (wine!!!). Most of the restaurants in town are closed I think on Mondays.

I am really glad to hear this, Paul. I've heard the folks who run that hostel are absolutely terrific, so it's glad to hear that from even more folks. Thank you!
