That looks like a lot of fun to make. First of all, I love the phrase :) I am definitely going to make a couple versions of that. I'll do one similar to how you are doing it. Dear Karin, thank you for another great tutorial.! I used one of your very old watercolor template. When I turned on the textures after finishing the coloring, the color disappeared from my letters, They were all black again. What am I doing wrong?

Very cool! But what is the advantage to the clipping mask over alpha lock for this? Thanks!

Very good question! You could totally use the alpha lock feature as well, but I prefer the clipping mask because I can rotate the layer and see the effect it has on my lettering piece in real time. It's also easier to swap out the colors or try different color schemes if you have them all on a separate layer. Hopefully this makes sense!

I tried to make this, but when I printed it, it looked very desaturated!? I tried watching your other printing video, but I don't have a very good printer? 😔

so sad to hear about your desaturated colors 😭 The printer and the paper you have definitely makes a difference with printing. But you also have to make sure you use the right settings for your printer, e.g. use the RGB color mode, and choose the right printer profile that matches your paper. It can be a bit of a trial and error process 😅
