PROCREATE Cut Paper Effect - super cute and easy TUTORIAL 💕

Which version of procreate did you use? I don’t have some of the orders for the layers you’ve been showing. Besides that they’re in German on my iPad. What I thought was „Clear“ removes everything, also the blur from the word. It’s a more a “clean”, not a “clear”.. Also „rasterice“ - I don’t have it :( there’s something like “reference”. So from the middle of the tutorial I can’t go on because it doesn’t get this inner shade on all layers.

I came to your channel with Hope in heart and was not disappointed with the way you explained the process. I have been trying to perfect the cut paper effect without procreate crashing after using the layer select function. Even though it did happen again ( I reached out to procreate again), I am glad know what I need to do to create this cool effect after watching your tutorial. It was fun and easy to follow along. I'm having a lot of trouble with this. When I clear the word layer the blur is still on the outside, not the inside. I've watched it multiple times and I can't figure out how you made the blur move to the inside. No matter what I try the shadow is on the outside. It would be helpful if you explained HOW selecting and clearing the layer moves the shadow to the inside.

I’m not sure what I did wrong, but my first attempt wasn’t nearly as nice as yours. However, it was fun, so I tried again, and did better. I decided I could make a cute birthday card with this technique, and that turned out really good!! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial! Also, how do you keep track of what you’ve done? I love this one, but I could see myself forgetting how I did it.

Every time I click select, it crashes the app and when I reopen it the text layer is no longer a text layer. I’ve tried updating etc. What am I doing wrong?

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that 😢 I recommend you send an email to the Procreate support team for more help. You might have discovered a glitch they don't know about yet. They are super helpful.
