Gorgeous cards as always, Kristina! Genius idea to use metallic watercolors with this stamp set! I created a similar card when this stamp set was new, using Sennelier watercolors on kraft. You’ve inspired me to use that stamp set again. Finding black watercolor paper at DickBlick last March was a game changer for using my Finetec’s and gouache. I’m so grateful to you for enabling me to collect all of the Finetec/Coliro colors! 🥰 No other metallic watercolors are near as good to me...but I keep testing them all just to make sure! 🤣

It exists somewhere in the world! Good luck finding it though..... I can't find black watercolour paper to save myself! Edit: Unfortunately I'm in Australia and Amazon are charging like wounded bulls, or the postage is outrageous, or it's just not in stock! And, Dick Blick, Michaels and the other US stores etc are just not practical due to postage costs! etc......

Stonehenge Black watercolor is my favorite, it works amazing with metallic watercolors and gouache. Amazon is overcharging for a lot of watercolor paper right now 😱. It’s currently in stock at DickBlick in the USA or Jackson’s Art Supply in the UK. I hope Kristina gets time to add a link to DickBlick soon. 🤗

louise carlin I got a set of Arteza metallic watercolor half pans several weeks ago (they were on sale and the reviews seemed pretty good) that are rather fun so far. It has 24 metallic/pearly colors. Most of them look nice on light and dark papers, others show up better on one or the other, but it’s worth checking out if you’re searching. Happy painting! 😊

Hi, one way to help these metallics move more is to add a bit of oxgall (natural or synthetic) which will help reduce the heaviness and move the paint easily. Will try these, they look amazing.
