Let's create a colorful photo transfer monoprint using a gel plate. If you don't have one you can create your own homemade gelli plate. You also need a laser printed photo and neon florescent acrylic paints. First you create the colorful background using the acrylic neon paints and then image transfer your own photo over the background.

Hi, for a paper transfer does it really need to be medium or can I use white paint?

Hi Nitsa Your technique is different than others teaching photo transfer in that u rely on wetness of paint when u put image onto gelplate rather then letting that transferred image dry on plate and then using another paint or medium to pull it. Though I think u have other videos showing this 2nd way..can u explain which u prefer and why? Thanks

Great video as usual 😊. Just wondering how long you leave the paper that you lay face down on the transferred print for please? I.e. the paper that the image will be transferred on to from the Gelli plate..

I leave it just for a few seconds, while I put some pressure with my hands to transfer, that's all it takes.

Hi, Thank you for clear instructions. I saw your video on Maki g a gelli plate. How long does it last? I saw other recipes with alcohol in, does it matter? Does it prolong lifetime, effect the paint.. Please share your thoughts on this...

So far I have my homemade gel plates for more than 3 years and they work fine and no mold issues. The only thing is that they might lose shape after some use, so if you don't like that (I sometimes actually enjoy creating with these misshapen plates) you can melt them down and reset again.
