Hello. I hope you are having a wonderful day. You have probably mentioned this but can I ask, What kind of white charcoal do you recomend. I have Cansons Mi-Teintes grey and brown toned papers. I normally use the smooth side. I know its pastel paper but I have never used pastel or charcoal on it. Only coloured pencil. I like it for pencils so I'd like to try charcoal too. I'm also a gemologist so Yes I love crystals and gemstones

Oh that's so cool. I am a huge geology nerd myself. Welcome. Any brand of white charcoal will work. Chemically it's all the same stuff. I use General's Brand, but it really doesn't matter. I'm sure yours will get the job done just as well. As far as paper is concerned, I think your paper is fine too. I personally prefer to use paper with a little bit of tooth, but the card stock that I'm using in tis video is smooth and everything turned out great. The paper choice is a very personal thing. Bottom line is - if you enjoy that paper and it's not difficult to work on, GREAT!
