Great information Sam. I've tried markers for adding color to a piece, but they were cheap, and of coarse you get what you pay for. Thanks for sharing, Fred

Re: Crossbow. I saw that the crossbow was behind me in one of the shots and thought I would get lots of questions and comment. Well, around 1990 or so, my oldest son made this in middle school wood shop. It was a kit. He supplied the wood. The thing did work and very well. He and a friend took them out and immediately broke the arrows. These should never have been made in a school by 14 year old boys. Ironic as hell. I worked in a a middle school for 18 years. Anyway there is a little more information. Thanks everyone for your support. Sam

+zach jackson Depending upon where you live, you can get connected to a club or another turner in your area. Turners are great people and love to pass on their knowledge. As you know, KZbin is full of good information on turning. But be careful, there is some garbage out there. Do a search on AAW chapters (clubs) See what comes up for your area. Turning can be expensive. You can learn and do it without spending lots of money. There are also good magazines etc. If you can, join the AAW American Association of Woodturners. By joining you will get 6 magazines of the American Woodturner. Do you have a lathe? Do you have a lathe in your school? Does your shop teacher know anything about turning? Later Sam
