The trailer displays a great blend of warm & cool colors. There some neutral tones through the production & costume design. Some desaturation.

I love how you explain what the lut does @01:45 I wish there was descriptions for all your luts, And had more example images for each one. You know exactly what luts to go to for each scenario, but all we know is perhaps a shot is "Daylight". We don't know which would best retain say deep reds in an image. And it's more trial an error not really saving time.

This is such a good feedback! Yes we understand that. Initially we thought, we will be able to create a short video on each of our LUT. Turns out that not going to happen anytime soon because of pre-existing projects and KZbin tutorial pipeline. As of now we are working on a blog titled "How to find the perfect LUT for your project" and it majorly covers your concern about grading time and LUTs. We are aiming for more content in which we break down how LUTs work and their place in an average Hollywood post production pipeline!

@@ColoristFoundry That's great news! I often find lots of luts don't make sense but it's all about the right context. Little descriptions for each/ examples will help so much. I'll keep an eye out for your blog, guessing that we will be notified via email subscription?

Great work. Films that reminds me of The Batman: Se7en, The Crow, Angel Heart, You were never really here.
@seppukusushi28482 жыл бұрын
Se7en and The Crow had way better lighting than The Batman. That's because they were shot on Real Film. Digital Movies look uncinematic and the color grading and overly-dark filters are an attempt to hide this fact. It's like corrective makeup on an accident victim. It only ends up looking like a *Compressed Monochromatic Intangible Sludge.*

The color grading and overly-dark filters are placed over almost every movie these days, and the real reason is they're shot Digitally and Digital looks uncinematic and flat. This is the equivalent of an Accident Victim wearing Corrective Makeup. It only ends up looking like a *Compressed Monochromatic Intangible Sludge.*
