I think what makes Batman so fascinating is not the grittiness and the seriousnes but Batman/Bruce himself and the world he is living in. The Dark Night trilogy and The Batman were in depth analysis of what inspired Batman, his methods and his resilience and determination. When it comes to Gotham, they have merely touched the surface.

Robert Pattinson was just born for this he's the first of all the actors to nail it as the perfect Bruce Wayne and Batman at the same time. Christian Bale and others were great but something was always missing,Robert filled what was missing,this is easily the best ever Batman adaptation of all time. It's littearly straight out of the comics and I don't care what anyone else says this is 10 times better than the overrated dark knight trilogy and any other Batman movie before. Matt Reeves is just an absolute genius and he understands the character better than anyone. I never had any doubts about Robert when he was first casted I just knew they found the perfect guy for the role. I littearly don't see an actor or vampire boy I see Batman,this movie was like a mix of year one,the comics,animated series and arkham games all in one. What makes it even better is he's a young and learning Batman like he's not the fully experienced version that has a plan for everything yet and my gosh I love that. There's so much more they can do with this Batman I just can't wait for more.

This movie is so much better than old batman movies, I mean Matt Reeves really nailed the cinematography here, just the soundtrack is very engaging, they really brought a superhero from shadows, nothing was very over the basics... nothing like crazy hi-fi technology, various technology in batsuit even the wingsuit was convincing, not the cartoonish looking batmobil. best and my fav. movie till now!

I don't know if it's the dread, droning sounds of the theme song to this film or what but it makes me somewhat emotional... Anyone else? It's a perfect hero sound. Implying bravery, yet a sense of doom. It makes me feel like I used to when I was a boxer and MMA fighter in the back, scared out of my mind yet confident, trying to force myself to do something that everything else in me is screaming DONT DO THIS. Then the song opens up, your name is called, that shift happens and you make the walk (though I never walked in sprinted cause I was so nervous) Anyway... Absolutely wonderful job. It fits with the Batman The Animated series really well too. I'm looking to the new Batman : Caped Crusader. Series on PRIME.

What I love about this Batman is how they approach Bruce's trauma. It's one thing to present the facts: His parents were murdered in front of him. Another thing is showing how that trauma affects his life. It's way easier telling your therapist the facts then it is to say how you actually feel and let the emotions come to the surface. This movie does that, you can see the glory and the misery of a broken man trying to make things better.
