The 80s and 90s were no joke, they used to patrol for fun just looking to catch someone wearing the wrong color or from the wrong hood, I remember Lennox was crazy as hell too, my gf at the time lived there

This scene is the biggest reason there are Bloods and Crips in other countries worldwide. This scene was THE motivation for L.A.-style gangs to be created outside the USA.

The original song was going to be a Rick James song but Ice-T said "let me put something together and see if you like it". The gang signs were made up and blacks and Hispanics arguing was too. Producers didn't want to do the crips v. bloods. If you want the back story of the movie read Ice-T autobiography.

this scenery made gang life seem glorious and powerful to those who embrace the "black" identity rather than the "created by God" identity. it was directed at children and adolescents to turn them away from righteousness. fast forward 30+ years and drill rap is the renewed representation of what is glorious and powerful to the "black minds" that see skin color as the defining quality of their souls. white supremacy was put outta business by "black pride" and "black power." pride is deadly and blasphemy pays the wages of sin.

SoDedicated6 no it wasnt. in 1988 Chicago had a murder rate of 23 per 100,000. LA was 21 per 100,000. not saying which gangs were tougher but statistically at the time Chicagos hoods were more dangerous to live in
@rackembarry7 жыл бұрын
Clorox Bleach breh there were more murders on Chicago’s west side(the smallest side) than ALL of LA last year
