Chris Farlowe ist einer der besten Sänger die ich in 65 Jahren meines Lebens Singen gesehen habe. Es ab auch in der DDR viele gute Sänger damals bei uns, aber Chris Farlowe kann man nicht immitieren und schon gar nicht ersetzen.

Not bad, but lacking the power of the 1971 live version - except Chris Farlowe's vocals..

octopus34 You're right, the 70s live recording has more punch. But I still remember being astonished at the time of this performance that Farlowe's voice was still at 100 percent. Many other famous singers of the 70s such as Gillian or Plant lost much of their vocal range when they got older. My guess is that their singing styles eventually ruined their vocal chords.
