Colostrum | Your Lambs & Goats

My goat delivered triplets late last night. I was on the scene maybe 20-30 minutes after they delivered. I did all I could to make sure babies knew to get under mama and get busy nursing. I couldn't tell if she was producing or not. I had purchased colostrum to be prepared, so whipped some up. They were not wanting that bottle at all. I mean some got all over me and into their mouths, but not some life saving amount. Since this was my first go round I was just a wreck worrying about them all night long. They are beautiful and strong, the one that seemed the littlest was really getting after it today. So, my hope is nature did it's thing, they all got what they need and all is well. have 5 lambs on the ground, 1 ewe and 4 rams, one is at another farm as a bottle baby and is the only set of twins so far, all are first-time moms and still have 6 more to lamb. would like for all of the upcoming lambs to be ewes because I'm to increase my flock without purchasing outside stock. as always thanks for the info Tim, keep up the good work

Great video! Thanks so much! Although I got a little distracted watching the lambs playing in the background. :) You mentioned tube feeding lambs. Have you made a video to demonstrate that? I'd be so nervous about going down the wrong tube.

It’s almost impossible to go down the wrong way and into the lungs. I’m sure it could happen but I’ve never seen it. I have a video out there but I probably should make another.
