Hello K, I have this book by R. J. Hampson, I own nearly all of his, think I just need the pirate one and another. Got Kerby's new one yesterday from Amazon, only problem, it was bent and all the pages were puckered and damaged all the way round. Don't know how one of Amazon's staff could pick that book up and think oh that will be ok for the customer. It's that bad I wanted to cry and chuck it in the bin. I have Nature Mandalas, love it, loved Circle of Life anyway. Your background is lovely as usual. It amazes me that you think that you bore your faithful subscribers, you don't. I found it so relaxing watching you put the pan pastels on the page and listening to you chat away. I wasn't implying you bored me to relaxation. I cannot explain it, it's just nice to sit down, with a coffee and watch you create one of your unique pages. @@ColouringwithK Hello K, thank you for your reply to my message. Please don't think I was trying to put pressure on you to do a part 2. I understand that doing the colouring and filming/editing etc takes time and I know that you work and have family to take care of, so you do what it ok for you. I honestly wasn't implying you should do a 2nd part on camera for us. I'm also a slow colourist. We are similar actually, shy, always saying sorry, critical of ourselves and what we do etc. I'm also a Cancerian like you. I'm not as brave as you though because I could not produce videos and chat etc like you do. I also couldn't believe after watching a colour and chat video of yours last year that you were in your late 40s and had been married for 28 years. I actually thought you were in your early 20s. You sound so young. You just keep on doing what you do. Don't rush or get yourself worked up over thinking you have to do this or that for subscribers or that you bore us. When your pencils leads break try gluing them back in with superglue, I hate wasting pencil lead so I do it whenever possible 😊 happy to see you again, I like watching and hearing you so I often come back to your videos 😀😀

They definitely are easy to use and easy to rub out if applied where you don’t want them. They are expensive but worth it!

K, I recently purchased this book as well, and this page is one of my favorites. Thank you for this background idea. I don’t have those particular pencils, but I have some neon pencils from another set that I plan to try. I have the Mungyo soft pastels that I will use to try to create a similar effect. I have the Nature Mandala coming to me, and I have the new Kerby book. I just finished a Kerby page from Kaleidomorphia to show support for Ukraine. I have a page in Night Garden that I am coloring with Lucy Just Adds Color, and next I would like to color this one with you.

Looks great so far. I am coloring in Yururi the mouse. I did the same page as you as my first in nature mandalas. I took me 6 days to finish. Kerby's new book is on its way to me. And i am still waiting on Hanna Karlzon new book. But something went wrong in printing. So it would take longer to get here. I bought it in a groupbuy. Still debating on pre ordering on Johanna Basford new book. I think i will wait for a flipthrough. And i really need to color in the books i already own from her. But i always say that. 😂

I've wanted to do this page but backgrounds totally intimidate me, I tried once and completely stuffed it up and because I did the background last after a really good run with the main image, I ruined it and completely stuffed the whole page. I tried to rescue it but to no avail. I wish I found backgrounds as easy as you. Right now I'm colouring a pic in mythomorphia by Kerby while waiting for his new book which is on it's way to me in the post yay :) can't wait. Love your background too by the way. I love your art :)

K, I have the prismacolor pencils 150. I want to buy another set. Which do you recommend are fun pencils? Inktense, black widow, Holbein, polychromos, Caran d asche etc? Thank you!

I would go for the Inktense as they are just in a category of their own and I love using them! If you want another set of regular pencils I would recommend the Arteza expert.

Hello K. If you don't mind me asking this question . Do you still use the Satin Glazing liquid for preparing your paper when you use wet mediums . If I can remember correctly you also used Gesso . If so do you use the Liquitex . Just started watching your video. 🌸🌸🌺🌺

Hi there! Yes, I do use the satin glazing liquid, although it does give some weird textures in places, I still think it’s worth it to use on Amazon printed paper when I want to use watercolour. I rarely use Gesso unless I am going to use gelatos or distress crayons. I don’t have the Liquitex brand of gesso although it is on my radar to purchase at some point. Thanks for watching 😊

Hi Farah, thanks so much for watching. Now that you mention it, they do give a very similar look, however, I think the Decoart gives more of an individual or single colour look whereas the Folkart one seems to be a combination of colours. Hope you’re having a great week 💕😊

Hi K! This look stunning again K! I know what you mean about not spending……🫣. I find a couple of chanels and i like to watch everything back and try to catch up. sometimes i see coloringbooks and they are five years old and no longer available anymore… So i found the coloring posterbook from John Howe draconis and i loved it! Now i bought it second hand because it is sold out worldwide and it costs me a fortune. It arrive to me soon so i hope it is in good condition, like they sad. I have more coloringbooks for my whole life, but you guys show so much beautiful stuf! I can not ignore that! LOL🤣🤣🤣
