@@artenofimdomundo I'll review them when I can but I'm not sure when that will be. So far, I'm not liking the coloured pencils that much, they don't seem very soft and there are plenty of other pencils I prefer but we all like different things so I wouldn't recommend against them they're just not ideal for me.

Don't get excited by the pencils. I got them in a scrawlrbox and they don't layer or blend and with them being all black makes it really difficult to pick out the right pencil. I wish she would give just one of these parcels to an ordinary fan, not just people who you want to sell you're book for you. Get out there and promote it yourself. There's no way people are going to buy a doodling books ffs Johanna have you run out of ideas!!

I've had a go with the pencils and no, not a fan of them, as you say, they're very difficult to layer and blend. Johanna gives these parcels to all sorts of people and while yes, I'm a reviewer, I'm also an "ordinary fan" and have spent a fortune buying Johnna's books in the past as well as loads of other artists'. She gives the parcels to reviewers, people who create tutorials and colourists who are big fans of her work. She does all sorts of promotion herself including creating a free 30 day video accompaniment to this new book and it's already proving to be very popular so while it may not be something you're interested in, and it's certainly not my favourite book of hers, there's a huge following of people who are already loving using it and following her course etc. She's already working on a new colouring book for next year, maybe you'll like that one more.

There is a lot of duplication in her work. Now the colouring explosion is over and adult colouring has been established as a hobby people that buy her books are true devotees. I know people during the explosion that simply didn't like her style. I have to say I have all her books but after awhile you not only get sick of looking at the same style of drawing but the duplication that you do see in her later works. I would say the first three to four books are the best. With later books she seems to have a gimmick. As with this, the gimmick is to teach yourself a little bit of this and that and an attempt to be devoted to keeping yourself occupied each and every day. However, again the duplication which wears thin after awhile!
