I have the emerald obsessions and I felt the same way I don’t think they are similar at all but I think that having both of them gives you a BOMB ASS GREEN PALETTE !!!! Idk I have to get it !!! i 100% agree! Mary Jane is such a cool shade honestly! Its like yellow/gold but kinda green at the same time so it looks different depending on the shadow you put it next to! Not to mention as an inner corner shade its just ughhhhhh

I loved this look! I give credit to ColourPop for giving the people what they want. I just bought the Juvia’s Place Tribe and I’m so happy with it. I know it’s not a fully green palette because of the brown and pops of orange, but it’s giving me enough variety that I can make a number of looks. Plus, I think Koro might be my favourite eyeshadow of the year.

Yessss!!!! Koro is AMAZING. Its one of my all time favorite green eyeshadows since its like that green gold kinda thing (I wish they would have put something like that in the CP palette!) If you havent tried it yet, you gotta use it as a highlighter. Its legit so cool!

Thank you for swatching the 2 palettes side by side. I have the Emerald Obsession & was eyeing this CP one but curious how they compared. I agree with you that the shades all looked to be True Green or blue leaning with only 2, maybe 3 being more of a yellowish green & I would have liked to see more variety too. But it's still a pretty palette & nice to see affordable options for color lovers :)

You're welcome! I hope it helped :) It seems like there's a lot of blue-greens and brown-olives, with that pop of Mary Jane which I would probably say is a gold green! The palette honestly looks a lot different once it arrived to me in person than it did from the marketing photos! I agree! If someone is looking for a green palette but doesn't want to spend a lot, its a great option!

yay!!! Let me know how you like it :) I have a few combos in my head already I want to do with it. Im thinking I might do a 3 looks in one video type of thing with it. I dont plan on doing a review. I did actually since my skin was so bad. For the last...uhhhh 2 ish weeks I've been only using Tatcha. I got this little Ritual set off their website for sensitive skin and its made a world of difference (with my skin and my wallet lol). Im not sure what it was honestly. I have very severe nut allergies and if I even smell certain nuts I get red and puffy in the face. Sometimes mineral oils break me out too. My skin just hates everything sometimes hahaha. Its why I dont usually try a lot of foundations/primers/skincare because once I find what works I don't like messing with it since its hard to get it to go back to what it was.

@@BreyonnaFaye omg I would love that! 3 looks 1 palette videos have always been my favorite. It really can show the versatility of the palette as well as give some ideas for color combinations. Like you did that blue and red look and I never though that something that was paired that way would look as cute as it did! It was beautiful! Maybe I need to try tatcha and save up for it. How much was the sensitive skin package? I have really sensitive skin along with psoriasis and eczema. I break out super easily if I change up anything in my routine and I have to be sure to really cleanse all the makeup off my face or foundation and primer tear me up!!! I feel like when I use pore filling primers that it breaks me out as well especially on my nose. Coconut oil breaks me out and oils in general break me out as well. Let me know if it continues to work for you because that may be something worth investing in. I've been using retinol based creams at night and of a morning to combat my dark spots and acne scarring. Anyways dear let me know how much that ritual package was. I may buy it myself. Thanks for replying love, and Ill let you know about the palette as soon as I get my kids settled down this evening!!! It was $59 and it was enough for like 2 weeks or so to be able to see if you like the products or not. I didn't know where to start so I just wanted like a sampler to figure out what I like and dont like. I cringed at the price honestly. They have a set on Sephora , but its actually cheaper on Tatcha by like $3 and you get an extra sample product in this set. See I have eczema too and my best friend who is an esthetician recommended the Indigo Cream to me from them since its for eczema and has been approved by the eczema association (I think that's what its called, I'd look on their website). The reason I got the sensitive skin ritual set is because it had a mini of the Indigo Cream in it and the Calming Rice Polish. I have a haul video going out probably late tonight or early tomorrow morning and I kinda brief on what's in it! I have that happen too. The only primer I can really use consistently is the one from Too Faced and I have noticed that doesn't clog my pores (however it is a pore filler!). YESSSS coconut oil does the SAME to me. My skin looks like peanut brittle after. People swear by it to do all of these magical things and my skin can't stand it. Shae did swatches on the pallet and also had that “dark stripe” with two of the darker green colors. It was really weird. I do really like the pallet though and this look you did is so beautiful 😍

Aww Im glad you like it!!! If I remember correctly green is a hard shade for companies to formulate. I know a lot of times with the darker shades that CP makes I've had the same issue with it creating a harsh line that is hard to correct

Just some thoughts: Colors don't perform the same as neutrals, blending with fluffy brushes doesn't work when adding layers of colors. It is best to pack on the color in a patting motion, then just blend the edges. Your looks are beautiful though. Just noticed the same complaints from you on the dark stripe on your colorful looks and thought that might help.

I actually really like the palette it wasn’t too hard for me to blend out but I did use different brushes to help with it. And I did follow your look except I didn’t use maryjane I used the top left corner of the HUDA beauty palette. Thanks for the tutorial!

I’m so torn if I should use mine today or wait till till st patty’s day lol. I hate when those dark bands form. If that happens try mixing a little of the shade that created it and the shade you used before on a small blending brush and blend between the 2 shades. That usually helps for me

I'd use it both days!! I tried going back and forth between the shade that did the band and a shade lighter and it still wouldn't budge. I feel with CP's darker shades though they have a tendency to do it. Maybe it'll be more of a lid shade for me.

I would definitely try that approach! You could also mix the deeper green in with a medium green to help with the blending too.

Hi - I was wondering how you think that the Huda Beauty Emerald Obsessions palette compares against the Melt cosmetics smoke sessions palette?

In my opinion they aren't really that similar, though they have a similar vibe. The shimmer formula is pretty similar in my opinion where its super creamy in texture and has a lot of dimension with the sparkles. The Huda palette is more cool toned and the Smoke sessions palette has more blues in it as well as the orange-y shades!

I don't like this green color Colorpop eyeshadow palette for few reasons 1) It's a cool tone greens for most part and I am warm skintone girl with yellow undertone ,so this colors most of them wash me off. 2) few eyeshadows don't blend properly and gives butthole look . 3) I think I can make my own green eyeshadow palette with good green eyeshadows from all the makeup brands .
