@@ala4935 I know right? I don't exclusively use vegan shadows but I have a lot of wonderful vegan shadows that are comparable ! The reason I think carmine is used so frequently is because a lot of people are allergic to the dyes/it can cause staining that are used in its place! However, you are right it isn't impossible :)

Emily that’s true, people get weird about the “not eye safe” pigments, as designated by the fda. but in the european union, those pigments are considered safe to be used on the eye! their cosmetic science is much more progressive. obviously if people have individual irritations, that’s valid and i’d say don’t use anything that gives you a reaction. but they are generally safe.

Random question and maybe a little ignorant? 😬 Is anyone you know and/ or any of your awesome followers colorblind and if so, do you still wear colorful eyeshadow because some youtubers will say the names of the eyeshadow and where they put it. Just a random thought.

bree villarruel colorblind people can see color, they don’t see in black and white, they just can’t differentiate between certain colors. there are several types but it isn’t the absence of color.

Speaking in general terms because there are MANY brands that have owners that make people uncomfortable with their choices/words... if its something i personally disagree with then no, i don't buy from them and i will ask to be taken off their PR list if i'm on it. That said, i'm then in a position where the week prior i was raving about products and people probably bought them on my recommendation so i don't discourage people from using things up and the same goes for products i might have that i invested in. Overall i'd just rather find alternates to the products i may have used from them vs shit-talking and ala's comment is accurate, i just needed a green liner and wasn't going to hide what i was using. x
