This is a holy grail for me however at the current price I might be able to find an original LE901 for a little bit more its a hard call. Might just pick this one up since its new production.

Excellent info with good attention to detail. Small note re the cleaning rod. From what I’ve seen the straight (non T handled) rods with just some knurling at the end are 8/32 thread pitch vs the T handle USGI type which is 8/36 thread pitch for brushes, patch holders etc. Excellent video!

I haven’t been this excited about a new rifle offering in several years. Good on Colt for bringing a competitively priced .308 battle rifle back to market with a solid design. Also glad that perhaps parts compatibility with the LE901 will make those rifles serviceable once again so we can get them out of the safe without fear of breaking something irreplaceable. Fingers crossed.

Interesting that the serial number falls into the range of the CM762's offered back in 2019. I'm wondering if they are assembling the current guns with older receiver sets that they had left over. There are LE901SE/AR901/CM65 guns into the 10xxx serials over the past few years. The higher 10xxx serials even have a QRD near the safety selector.

There is only a couple of CK901's in civilian hands in the U.S. I do not own one of them. I saw one on Gun Broker that went for 10k. As an old retired Army guy, I will never be able to afford that unfortunately.

The CM762-16S can use the same 5.56mm upper receiver conversion kit that was used with the LE901/CM901/AR901. I have bought several Colt carbines over the last year. I have had any issues with what I have bought so far. Your mileage may vary. Thanks for stopping by.
