Ah yes, I used this rifle a lot back in 2010-2011. I used it throughout all kinds of combat, from a nuclear testing town in Nevada, to an abandoned theater full of zombies in Germany. The Commando was one of the best available at the time, and it pleases me to see it getting some well deserved recognition in 2022! Edit: I didn’t expect this to get this much attention, so thank you to the 100+ OG gamers that saw this, y’all passed the vibe check and you have my respect. Have a good day.

The gun in Max Payne is a different gun. It's a Colt Model 733 M16A2 Export Sub-Machine Gun "Commando", different from something like a Colt Model 629 "Commando" aka "XM177E2" or Model 638 "Commando" aka "XM177E2"

​@Rollz you do realize that, at the time Ronald Reagan banned ownership of automatic weapons made after 86, these guns were used in less that 1% of all firearms related crime? as far as crime statistics go, banning automatic weapons had no effect on violent crime. Also, the semi auto versions that are so widely used today, account for less than 2% of firearms related crime, also insignificant

I can still remember the M-16's without those brass deflectors, back in the day they had a plastic deflector that attached to the carrying handle for left handed shooters! If you were a left handed shooter you were lucky to have one because of the brass hitting you in the face and down your shirt! LOL

I got my M-16 A1 parts kit from Sportsman's Guide. Minus the lower and 20 in barrel. Kerry Stevens of Homer Ga. Found the barrel and it's chambered in 5.56. He put the whole thing together for me too. Great guy.

It is called a crush washer for a reason. And it has to go on a certain way. The contact diameter of the washer needs to be the same or smaller that the surface it mates against. AND...when shooting M16's sh*t happens. Parts fly off, bust, melt, crack.

When I visited since it's been a minute due to work I thought that Hickok had passed away. My God I have to admit I was pretty upset, thankfully it looks like he didn't.
