So growing up in the rural Canada the RCMP were all over 6' tall and monsters of men. It made sense as some of them would be the only law for hundreds of kilometers in all directions, they had to be able to be their own backup. I remember being roughed up for giving lip to a mountie when I was a teen, let's just say, its a reason why Canadians are so polite.

Very cool friend. Seems to be a common theme among old punk fans. I’ve known more than a few who naturally gravitated toward the alt country scene myself included. I think Colter qualifies.

Check out some david allan coe, Waylon, hank Jr and Johnny paycheck. Good stuff. My punk playlist is basically limited to reagan youth, some gorilla biscuits and a few odds and ends like the vandals, tsol and the descendants but I like a bit of every genre.

@thurgoodstubbs9670 Жыл бұрын
That’s a percussionist that ‘gets it’ if you know what I mean. I always heard that in “big bands” from the 40’s though say 60’s the drummer was the band leader. Think Dave Letterman’s guy from the E-Street band with Bruce Springsteen, Max Weinberg. He is a band leader style drummer. I never liked him at all. Talented? Obviously. Could he play for Colter? Not likely. It would be below him.

I just happened upon this and almost skipped it! My opinion..there's few accidents. "Thank God!" This was a cool surprise! I felt like I was listening to the type of songs written by Shell Silverstein, John Prine, Leonard Cohen,Tom T. Hall etc. Just to mention a few off the top of my head. With a Waylon, Cash, and the newer Tyler Childers, kinda air. Singing a "Townes" song, and mentioning Arlo, shows some unique coolness! Very cool!👏👍✌
