Monday December 3 2018 at 9.50 and 10.12. The 9.06 London Paddington to Bedwyn (10.19) train in a rain storm. This is 7 miles east of Hamstead LC and was previously filmed 7 years ago. The massive newly installed height barrier to protect the overhead wires can be seen on the far side. The first wait was 3 minutes 25 seconds. Then, from the other side, 59206 “John F Yeoman” pulling the longest train seen on this channel with 44 trucks containing limestone from Merehead Quarry in Somerset to Acton. Shortly after that 59201 appeared pulling 39 containers from Theale to Whatley Quarry also in Somerset and running 30 minutes early. There only are 6 of these locos in the red Schenker livery so you’ve seen one third of the fleet in this video. Hornby made models of 59206. The barriers were down for over 9 minutes the second time which is nearly the worst on this channel. The crossing was activated over 6 minutes before a train appeared so it was probably about 4.5 miles away at that time. Harrods Distribution Centre can be seen at the end.
